Repairing the Harm: A Community Conversation on the Systemic Exclusion of
African Americans in Elkhart

Monday, January 20 | 2 – 4 p.m.

Join us on Monday, January 20, as the  <https://www.ambs.edu/about/icur>
Intercultural Competence and Undoing Racism (ICUR) team honors Dr. King’s
legacy with a panel discussion and community conversation featuring local
Elkhart voices, including Rev. Jean Mayes and Jean Robinson, and special
guest Benjamin J. Tapper, host of the Invisible Truths podcast. The event is
free and open to the public.

The goals of the program are to:

*    Name local incidences of harm against the African American community
and the ongoing impact
*    Highlight ways these harms have and have not been systematically
addressed
*    Encourage work for change and redress for the benefit of the whole
community
